Why Facebook, why must you keep changing on me every time I begin to figure you out?

If you are posting on Facebook and you want more people to see what you are posting, then you need to hack the Facebook algorithm. Actually, work Facebook like it was designed and how Facebook wants you to work it.

Facebook was created to provide a good user experience. Facebook rewards people on Facebook who are creating that thing, that good experience, that good environment. If you are posing educational and interactive things on Facebook that other people like and you are doing specific things on Facebook you will get rewarded.

How do you get rewarded from Facebook? By more people seeing your posts.

Facebook is always changing its algorithm. Here are 7 ways that you can work Facebook’s algorithm in your favor.

1.      Consistency. Automate your Facebook posts. Create a weekly or monthly calendar of your Facebook posts and set them up in your favorite app to automate. Here is the app that I favor: 💎Post Planner - Automation Tool for Posting - https://www.postplanner.com/

2.      Interact. If you are going to post something promotional and want more people to see your watch party or Facebook Live spend some time liking and commenting on other peoples posts to warm up the algorithm. If you are out engaging on Facebook, in return Facebook is going to get warmed up to you allowing your post to get more reach.

3.      Links. Don’t post outside of Facebook. Naturally, Facebook doesn’t want anybody to leave Facebook, so if you need to post a link that is outside of Facebook, place it in the comments sections of your post and tell people to check out the comments. If you place a link directly into your post, Facebook will show less of that post.

4.      Profile. Yes, this matters. It’s important to have a professional looking profile that is complete. Don’t leave anything blank or underutilized. This helps the algorithm and helps your posts be seen more.

5.      Content. Post quality content that gets engagement. Always ask for feedback in your posts or videos. Ask people to “Heart” this, “share” or “like” that in the comment section. If more people engage, Facebook will see that a lot of people are engaging on your video or post and note that a lot of people really like this content, therefore, will show more of it to more people. This way Facebook keeps people on Facebook and liking the platform.

6.      Facebook Watch Parties. When you use new features on Facebook, they reward you and it does help the algorithm. Facebook watch parties are a great way to get your content out there and engagement on your post.

7.      Facebook Live. Do Facebook Live, it is the easiest way to get shares, comments, likes and warms up the algorithm. You may not have time to do Facebook Live all the time but plan on doing it at least once a week on a certain topic that entertains your audience and have a really great call to action.

Now, you know the basics on how to warm up the Facebook algorithm. Be consistent and respectful on Facebook and you will get rewarded. Facebook is a give, give, give, take environment, not a take, take, take and give environment.
